It’s amazing how weight can actually be lost by eating more. 

Many people will have you believing that to lose weight you need to be eating less. By less, they usually mean less often. This isn’t necessarily the case, though.

Are there true benefits to eating breakfast?


No.

Can it make you hungrier?

Yes.

So, we get our morning fix by running by our favorite coffee shop to get a large one to go and maybe a danish or pastry of some kind.

This isn’t the best thing for us. We may curb our hunger for a little while, but our bodies will feel starved a couple of hours later.

Because it has spiked up our blood sugar with processed sugar-and then dropped it.

My personal experience with intermittent fasting has been great. I’ve practiced this frequency of eating for the last 2 years without skipping a beat. I truly started it for the internal healing benefits. 

Although, My body feels better and more energized throughout my day, without the physical or conscious need of snacking or eating a meal until my fasting period has ended. I personally choose to end my fast between 1 and 3 p.m…Which leaves my eating window of 8 hours starting from that point.

By continuing your fast upon waking, you will start off the day with the right kind of energy, by practicing & maintaining intermittent fasting for as long as possible, your blood sugar will be at a better, stable level through the majority of your day.

This means less downtime or fatigue for you.

It helps your brain and nervous system function properly. It essentially just gets your synapses firing on all cylinders. 

Your brain is sharper and your decision-making skills will be better. Your memory will also be improved. Improving clarity overall.

Intermittent Fasting makes you less prone to eating junk, just because it’s the “standardized time to eat”. If you wait until lunch or mid-day to eat your first meal you will be less hungry all together.

There are no studies to show that eating breakfast during the wee hours of the morning or initially upon rising shows any decrease in body weight or increased health benefits. 

This is a form of manipulation that has been channeled through t.v. commercials by the breakfast food industry for years. 

Stating that breakfast is the most important meal of the day

When in fact breakfast, especially an unhealthy breakfast, can be the true source of morning fog that many adults and children experience from ending their fasted state immediately before a true hunger has presented itself. 

Even if it is not a daily practice try to incorporate intermittent fasting at least once or twice into your week and see how your body feels throughout and after. 

At first, it is going to take determination and willpower to avoid reaching for foods and juices upon rising, but with enough focus it’s easily attainable. 

Try to practice intermittent fasting every other day once successful days of fasting have been achieved. And just notice the overall feelings of energy your body will exhibit. 

Remember, once you’ve broken your fasted state, you should be eating several times during the remainder of the day, which help you lose the most weight. 

You are trying to get your necessary caloric intake in during limited hours of the day.

Despite fasting through most of the day, if your body weight still requires 1500 calories or 1,800 calories, you still need to eat that amount within your eating window. 

By not eating the required calorie amount for your current body weight you could be encouraging your body to hold onto weight by instinctually going into starvation mode. 

That is why eating the recommended amount of calories is vital for weight loss. 

Because again, If your calories are insufficient, your body begins to think that it’s starving and will go into storage mode thinking it must preserve as much as possible.

That is when it turns into fat. It can also slow down your metabolism and your ability to burn fat.

When you eat the right calories for your weight, you are letting your body know that you aren’t going to be starving it today. 

So it doesn’t have to worry about storing it. It also gets your metabolism going and ready to burn fat all day.

When you start fasting each day or weekly, you will really be impressed with how much weight can be lost.

The fruits and vegetables that I have listed in that article contain such a low amount of calories that your body ends up utilizing energy sources within the body to break down these negative calorie foods, including using stored body fat.

So these foods essentially are fat burning foods, just based on the initial consumption of them all. 

Why not try these out, you may find that some of these foods are actually enjoyable snacks that don’t feel like a burden or an arduous thing to consume. 

Water about fruits and veggies?

I found by incorporating vegetable and fruit smoothies into my diet I have increased weight loss and just a slimmer physique overall. The increased antioxidants and nutrients provided in the shakes, in addition to your meals consumed really adds to the entire fat burning process. 

When it comes to vegetables or leafy greens. Half of your plate should consist of some type of vegetable i.e. kale or lettuce, which also facilitates an ultimate fat burning and weight loss. So you should never be eating a carb alone it should always be paired with a protein as well as some type of leafy green. By incorporating these small tips and habits weight loss will be effortless. 

Bottom line.

Yes, you can lose weight by eating more. 

But of course it comes down to the food choices that you are reaching for. 

By eating negative calorie foods, yes. By increasing leafy greens, yes. 

So a recap, adding a vegetable and fruit smoothie to your daily diet has great weight loss benefits. Also, making sure half of your plate contains leafy vegetables, never eat a carb alone and always pair any carbs with protein and veggies. 

By doing all of these steps increased weight loss can and will be achieved without feelings of starvation or hunger. Lastly, by incorporating intermittent fasting to all of these weight loss techniques increased success is sure to be had.
